Job Description
We are hiring a Finance Analyst for our client, a Houston-based real estate investment and property management firm. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, advanced MS Excel skills, and the ability to analyze and present complex financial data clearly to decision-makers. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for real estate projects and investments
Manage accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and reporting deadlines
Conduct financial modeling and feasibility analysis for new and existing real estate investments
Prepare investment performance reports, dashboards, and investor presentations
Support senior management in budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio analysis
Requirements
CA / ACCA Part-Qualified/Qualified or equivalent professional certification
Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in real estate or investment firms
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and forecasting tools
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in real estate investment, property management, or venture capital finance
Knowledge of preparing HUD-1 Settlement Statements for real estate transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
